How close are you to your future self?
Six questions on how clearly you picture yourself in five years, how much that person feels like you, and how often you act for them. One tap per question.
A self-check we wrote, not a validated test. The research behind the three questions: future self-continuity.

Is this a real psychological test?
No. It is a short self-check we wrote. The three things it asks about come from published research on future self-continuity, but the questions and the scoring are ours and have not been validated. It is not a diagnosis.
What does it measure?
Three things: how clearly you can picture yourself in five years, how much that person feels like you rather than a stranger, and how often you already act for them. Your result is the one you scored lowest on, with one thing to try for it.
Where do the three questions come from?
A 2026 randomized trial measured how vivid the future self felt, how connected people felt to it, and their future orientation. The study, what moved and what did not, is on our future self-continuity page.
Is it free?
Yes. No signup, no email, and the result shows on this page as soon as you answer the sixth question.
