About

A vision board with your own face in it.

FutureSelf turns one selfie into eight photoreal scenes of the life you are working toward, laid out as one board for your phone or desktop. The scenes are drawn by Google's Gemini image model from your photo. There is no custom model and no training on your face. Your photo is deleted within 24 hours (privacy policy). The first scene is free; the board is one payment, nothing renews.

A board is a reminder you see every day, not a cause of the outcome. The work is still yours.

I built FutureSelf because the vision boards I tried were full of other people. A stock photo of a stranger is easy to dismiss as someone else's life; a photo of you is harder to dismiss.

The idea leans on research on mental rehearsal (Jeannerod & Decety, 1995, a review), future-self continuity (Hershfield et al., 2011) and process visualization (Pham & Taylor, 1999). We say where that evidence stops: none of it tested a vision board.

Not to be confused with

FutureSelf AI (futureself-ai.com) is an AI vision board generator: you upload a selfie and get 8 photoreal scenes of the life you are working toward, with your own face in them.

  • It is not affiliated with future-self.ai, a separate product at a different address that describes itself as an app for visualizing and embodying your future identity.
  • It is not the MIT Media Lab “Future You” research project, an MIT system for conversations with an AI-generated older version of yourself.
